she'll drag the lake to keep the vendetta alive

A few things to say.

1. Longview by Green Day is the story of my life about 78% of the time (nowadays; used to be about 99.87% of the time)

2. Went to UFC 111 with Ileana last night. Craziest fucking experience of my life. In a movie theater with the lights down low, watching buff guys beat the shit out of each other. A. People could text in the movie theater. B. We were virtually the most out of place people you would ever see (aside from the two metrosexual Japanese guys in front of us); everyone was wearing Tap Out shirts and was bleeding testosterone. Cheering and swearing and yelling at the weaker fighters. Unexpected: Being attracted to British fighter Dan Hardy. NOM NOM NOM. Anyway. It was a good night.

3. Leaving for France on Wednesday morning to check on the boat in La Rochelle. There was a huge storm; here's the damage done to the marina. It doesn't take two weeks to check on the boat, but the rest is for fun :) I'm pretty excited about this. I hope the weather's nice, but I'm not going to get my hopes up. Chances are that it'll be about the same in Seattle (i.e. rainy and cold).
Also: I CAN'T SPEAK FRENCH. D: I can say "Je m'appelle Jesus" but I don't think that would get me anywhere. Much less score me a hot French man with a beard and nice hips.

I think that's all I have to say today.

dios mio!

Firstly, I discovered I most likely have celiac disease. That puts a damper on like everything food-related. Apparently it's genetic, but I don't have it as intensely as my mother. Woooooof. Lactose intolerance and celiac disease go hand in hand. That explains a lot.

Secondly, I managed not to fail any classes! YAY!

Thirdly, DAVID DUCHOVNY IS THE CREEPY-ASS HAND MODEL IN ZOOLANDER? WHAT THE HELL? WHAT. THE. HELL?

vs

whaaaaaaatttttt.

Anyway. I'm feeling good. Tomorrow I'm going skiing with my big brudder and Mike, and then making monies. Then staying at the brother's house and cheeeellin Sunday night with a few people, hopefully. This is gonna be a great-jujued weekend. And it's only just begun, HA HA!

For now, I'm running off to find a backpack in which I can put my camera tomorrow. I'm fully planning on documenting this ski trip.

Love.

weekend of epic proportions!

So this weekend was awesome. In a nutshell.

1. Dance company. Thank you to the lovely ladies in my dance. Couldn't have done it without them being so darn awesome. Some people attended the shows and they made me happy. Made me put more effort into it, probably.

2. Moved back into a space of my own. That feeling is so, so refreshing. You don't realize it unless you've been out of it for several months like I have. Entonces, I'm back now and it's awesome. I've been sleeping better than I have in a very long time. It reminds me of what it feels like to be a sloth. Mmm, sloths.

3. Hung out with a few of my favorite people in the world: Kay, Reland, and Landon. Lots of laughs, reconciliation and new feelings. It feels like the atmosphere changed. It was nice though. Kay and I drove Landon home which took quite a long time, and then had some good times in the car home. Loud music and the freeway. Goooood times.

4. Babysat Baby Jude. He's like 16 months and ADORABLE. I love him. He gives kisses and high fives.

Good weekend. Not really a lot to report necessarily, just good vibes, good music, good faces.
Good stuff.

Love.

the vegetation which comes from the earth, oh mama africa you make me know what life is worth.

My darling sister flew off to Paris yesterday for two weeks to celebrate her and my brother in law's birthdays. Crazy. We're all getting so old!

My To Do List:
1. hang out with Amanda.
2. Clean. Clean clean clean.
3. Trim bangs.
4. Make some friends.
5. Wear retainer.
6. Visit John's Music.
7. Take more photos.
8. Read some more Don Quijote.
9. Y chromosome.
10. New music.

I'm feeling good.
Hung out with Amanda. We ate hella crepes and made friends with the lovely crepe vendor. He said "I want to go to burning man this year." It was an instant friendship. Those are good for the soul. We're going to go back and visit him.

I decided I'm going to make a collage of photos. I haven't done anything artsy in a while. Except for doodling during lectures and stuff. But that doesn't count.

In any case. Listening to Norah Jones, downloading some new music, bouts to hit the sack I think. Love.

(by the way, I'm actually writing this at 9:30 pm on Thursday.)

just because you call me pet names doesn't mean i'm yours.

My Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lalunadepapel/

Today I had two adventures involving purchasing a cupcake. Four cupcakes purchased total. Lots of fun. I documented it photographically. Am too tired to write right now.

sharia law

If anyone in the blogosphere has an extensive and awesome knowledge of it, hit me up.

I'm writing a paper on it.

In the meantime: playing for change. SUCH A GOOD ALBUM/DVD. This youngish guy went around the world and got musicians to sing the same song and then compiled them. It's good.

NOTHING IS REAL.

I'm not even going on some drug-induced hippie-dippy Beatles-inspired trip rant.
I'm actually saying everything we know is fucked. Like how our eyes project images flipped "backwards" and "upside down" from what we ACTUALLY see. So the ground is ACTUALLY what we perceive as "up" so GRAVITY is not actually pulling things "down" it's actually pulling things "UP."

I could go on for ages about this. Remind me tomorrow.

Goodnight.

So many of them!

I'm going to Greece in two summers for several months. Saving up starting two days ago.

Trizonia, Greece. where I spent part of summer '06, and where I'm thinking about starting.

SO EXCITED!
